The Project’s Tommy Little has revealed that his co-host, Lisa Wilkinson, has a wild side not many people know about.

Little, who is known for his X-rated jokes on the show, shared the revelation with news.com.au in an interview for their upcoming podcast, I’ve Got News For You, which is due to be released in full on Monday.

“I don’t think Wilko is actually offended, I think she has to appear to be not on-board with the many c**k jokes,” Little began, with podcast host Andrew Bucklow pressing for more details about Wilkinson.

Little then claimed the former Today host “loves the strippers”.

“That is not something I was expecting when I started to work with her,” the 37-year-old said.

“We’ve been out for dinner a few times, and she’s a great host. I’ve been over [to her house] for dinner, and it always gets to a certain point when Lisa gets a sparkle in her eye and says, ‘Should we go to the strippers?’

“I say, ‘Wilko, no, this has clearly been a problem for you in the past and tonight, no, you’ve gotta rein it in’.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Little revealed he was the “most complained about cast member” on the show and that he was “told off all the time”.

“I assume they have to, if they get enough complaints I guess they have to tell me at some point.”

Image: news.com.au

Meghan and Harry's tell-all Oprah interview under fire

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have announced that they're expecting a brother or sister for Archie and are planning on sitting down with Oprah for an exclusive "tell-all" interview.

Despite some royal fans eager for the interview, others have pointed out the hypocrisy of the couple leaving the royal family after demanding privacy and then doing an interview with one of the world's most popular talk show hosts.

This includes the panellists on The Project, which were Tommy Little, Carrie Bickmore and Steve Price.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on a roll! Just a day after their baby news broke. It’s been revealed Harry and Meghan will sit down for a 90-minute chat with Oprah, next month,” Carrie began. “It’ll be their first interview since quitting royal life. That decision is just one of the topics Oprah will discuss with Meghan. Harry’s expected to chime in at the end.”

“It will be a long 90 minutes,” Steve joked.

Tommy quickly fired back: “You know your career is on the rocks when people who are trying to hide from the public go on your show!”

Carrie agreed: “She is getting a lot of heat today because they fled the UK because they want privacy and now they want a tell-all. Can you say I still want to share parts of our life with the media?”

CBS have said that the interview will be broadcast on the 7th of March.

"Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work... to how she is handling life under intense public pressure," CBS said in a statement.

"Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family."

Jeff Kennett clashes with Project hosts over Vic lockdown

Former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett let his true feelings be known on The Sunday Project after he compared Daniel Andrews' lockdown to a "communist state" and referred to residents as "hostages".

He clashed with host Peter Van Onselen during a tense TV argument as the other hosts watched on.

“You’re very lucky because you’ve still got a job," the former Premier bitterly told Van Onselen.

The hosts asked whether it mattered if the state was in lockdown for a few more months after it was already subjected to strict rules.

Mr Kennett did not hold back.

“Yes, it does because the Premier only two days ago gave an indication that a lot of our small businesses would be able to reopen from the middle of next week, so therefore that doesn’t happen instantaneously,” he began.

“People have started to clean the places, hire staff, order in food, etc. But the worst thing is we’ve had seven new cases today – seven.

“We have a population of 6.4 million people. And for seven cases, 6.4 million people are continued to be held hostage by this Premier.

“NSW some days now have recorded more cases than us, and not only are they able to continue to trade, but they have no rings of steel. We have 5km radiuses which are now 25.

“This is a – this is a Communist state.”

The Sunday Project co-host Lisa Wilkinson tried to calm down Mr Kennett's rage, but it was to no avail.

Wilkinson suggested that NSW had handled the pandemic better due to better contact tracing, but Kennett refused to believe it.

“Yes, but how long have we had this virus?” Mr Kennett countered. “How long have we had contact tracing problems here in Victoria? Why haven’t they been addressed if they are the problem?

“I’m not arguing that it may be the problem, but if it is the problem, why has it taken months to get it right? We have a government – and if they can’t govern, if the Premier can’t lead, get out of the way and let someone else come in and do the job for him.”

Comedian and co-host Tommy Little tried his best to lighten the mood and asked Kennett what he would have done if he was still Premier.

“Firstly, we wouldn’t be in this situation if I was still premier because I would never have allowed the mismanagement of the hotel quarantine that started this second wave,” Mr Kennett stated.

“Where there is an outbreak, as they did in Tasmania, where they’ve done in NSW, where they’ve done in Queensland – you address the problem, but you do not lock down the state for the best part of a year.”

“People have died, people are losing their income and their businesses, and unfortunately many in the community say, ‘Well, isn’t this wonderful?’ he continued.

“Because what we are doing is avoiding what’s happening in Europe and in the US but we are not in Europe, we are not in the US.

“Victoria should be comparing itself with NSW, Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia, etc, and by any similar test, this has been disastrously handled and the corruption in the failure of the government and its ministers and public servants to be honest, with the community they lead, only compounds the problem.

“So often is the case. It’s not the original mistakes that have become the major issue, it’s the cover-up that continues to this day.”

Van Onselen tried to steer the interview on course, saying that he agreed with Kennett's concerns, but saying that it was comparable to "communism" was too far.

“I think I probably agree with a lot of your concerns and I can understand the anger from a lot of Victorians, but I’m not sure that the inflated rhetoric about Communism and all these sort of things helps people who are on the fence just wondering what should happen?” he said.

“Well, Peter, how would you describe it? We’re locked down,” he raged. “We’ve had curfews. We can’t travel around our state. Businesses can’t open, and they are all decisions of one man.

“Alright, I accept Communism – a bit over the top, but it is a dictatorship.

“He doesn’t listen to people in his own party. He doesn’t listen to business community and health officials. He is making these decisions on his own, and I guess, Peter, all I’m saying is this can’t go on without there being years of damage, both to the mental welfare of a lot of our community, but also to our economy.

“Now, alright, maybe I went over the top with ‘Communism’ but this is a dictatorship. I’ve never seen anything like it, and there has never been anything replicated in any other part of the world in dealing with this virus, so what would you call it?”

This only angered Kennett.

“800 people who have died. There are hundreds of people, families, small businessmen who have lost their income and their financial security and what did you describe it as?”

“Over the top,” said van Onselen.

Back to Mr Kennett: “Over the top – well, you’re very lucky because you’ve still got a job. Over the top. You keep drawing your salary, my friend. You are very, very fortunate.

“I tell you what, there are a lot of people here in Victoria who will never ever recover from the way we’ve handled this virus. It should never have been about elimination It should always been about manage it, like you’ve done in NSW.”

In wrapping up, van Onselen was eager to wrap up the segment, quickly thanking Kennett for his time.

“Jeff, I think a lot of people understand your frustration. We appreciate your time.”

Mr Kennett sarcastically replied, “It was a great pleasure. I was just passing by.”

Carrie Bickmore almost caught in a lie while chatting to Brad Pitt

The Project co-host Carrie Bickmore was almost caught in an embarrassing lie while chatting to movie star Brad Pitt about his latest film.

Bickmore flew to Tokyo to interview about his new film, Ad Astra, which is in cinemas this Thursday.

Once the cameras stopped rolling after the interview, the pair were chatting about Aussie actress Margot Robbie.

“As I was leaving he said, ‘Oh, do you know Margot Robbie?’ who he was in Once Upon a Time with,” Bickmore said on her Hit Network radio show Carrie and Tommy.

“We were chatting and we were talking about movies and he said all the amazing stuff she is doing … she’s producing and directing a lot of stuff.

“He (Pitt) mentioned she’s doing something with Joel Edgerton and I said, ‘Oh my gosh, have you seen his new movie?’

“In my brain I was thinking of the movie Boy Erased which isn’t new … it was out like a year ago. But I couldn’t remember the name of the movie. And then he says, ‘Kings?’”

"I'm certainly better at listening, hearing them, and asking them questions about how they feel, instead of trying to imprint one of my bits of wisdom on them," Brad Pitt on how he's changing as a parent, the things his father taught him, and the future of his acting career. pic.twitter.com/NwjGc05V5H
— The Project (@theprojecttv) 16 September 2019

It was at this point in the conversation that Bickmore had two choices: Either let Pitt know that she was lying and had the wrong film or play along and pretend she knew what film he was talking about.

Naturally, she went with the second option.

“He said, ‘Oh, have you seen that?’ I was like, ‘Yes!’ And he said, ‘We made that’. I was like, ‘Oh god’,” Bickmore said.

Pitt was likely to be confused by the encounter, as The King is a Netflix movie that’s not meant to be released until November 1.

It gets even more awkward once Pitt asks a follow up question.

“Then he said, ‘How have you (seen it?)’” Bickmore said. “I’m thinking, ‘Oh god, I don’t even know if it’s out yet’. He’s thinking, ‘How has she got an advanced copy?’”

Bickmore’s co-host, Tommy Little joked, “He’s probably gone out and fired a whole bunch of people because he’s like, ‘The King has been pirated, people have already seen it in Australia’.”

Luckily for Bickmore, she was saved by a fellow publicist and was told to leave the room. It was after she left that she reflected on her lie to Pitt.

“I really shouldn’t have lied to Brad Pitt … but I just wanted the conversation to continue,” The Project host said.

Comedian Tommy Little has left his The Project co-hosts stunned as he made another X-rated joke that made them speechless.

Little managed to make a cheeky joke about the Titanic that left Lisa Wilkinson and Waleed Aly lost for words.

Little explained how a man was not “fully ready for just how large it was” in reference to the Titanic, but you can probably guess where the joke is going.

“You guys thought it was something dirty but it was just the Titanic,” Little said. “You thought it was just — I guess both involve seamen.”

Little’s joke made the panel react in two different ways.

Rachel Corbett let out a loud sigh and covered her face whereas Wilkinson and Aly just look stunned.

As Aly couldn't handle it anymore and broke down into laughter, Wilkinson made the choice to move the segment along, saying: “We’re coming back after the break — we hope!”

“Are you sure?” Corbett added.

It’s not the first time Little has left his co-hosts speechless, with Little making Wilkinson very uncomfortable as he explained what happened as he went for a naked bike ride through London.

“How’s this for shattering? The Sunday Project hosts lose it over politician’s name

The hosts of The Sunday Project struggled to continue on with the show for several minutes after they suffered from a giggling fit due to a politician’s bizarre name.

But the one who dealt with the short end of the stick was Hamish Macdonald who descended into breathless hysterics as fellow panellist Tommy Little decided to make some changes to his script.

At one point, Macdonald hid behind his papers as he was unable to speak, laughing uncontrollably.

The hilarious stitch up occurred as Macdonald, Little and fellow host Lisa Wilkinson discussed the new leader of Britain’s right-wing UK Independence Party (UKIP) who have seen their popularity dwindle after former leader Nigel Farage cut ties to form the rival Brexit party.

The new leader’s name is Richard Braine, but Little thought it would be easier to refer to him as “Dick Braine”.

“You truly can’t make this stuff up,” said Wilkinson as the rest of the hosts began to snicker.

Hamish may have beaten Tommy in the City2Surf, but Tommy got him back when he messed up the auto-cue on him. Just read it.”

Macdonald hesitated, as he said: “It’s not every day there’s a politician with the name Dick Braine – that’s right, that’s his name.

“I don’t understand what’s going on, (Little) doesn’t know how to type or use a keyboard,” he said while looking over at the comedian.

By this point, Macdonald was red in the face and laughing sporadically as he was unable to put his thoughts into words.

“Hamish, you’re a serious journalist. Read the news,” said Little.

“OK, I’ll read it. First name Dick. Second name Braine. They went with Dick Braine. Back to you, Dick Braine,” Little said motioning towards Macdonald.

“It’s a great name. It’s taken over as my favourite name. Fanny Chmelar was my favourite before,” said Little.

“She was a downhill skier.”

“You’re making that up,” said Wilkinson, now also verging on hysterics. “Google it,” Little replied.

With Macdonald still giggling, Little continued on to the next segment before throwing it back to Macdonald.

“Dick, to you. How is everyone doing?” he asked.

“I’m struggling but I’m back,” said a red faced Macdonald.

Host of The Project Tommy Little has been rushed to hospital, but thanks to his comedic ways, he’s discovered a way to make light of the serious situation.

The 34-year-old sent fans into a panic after he uploaded two photos to his Instagram account of himself lying in a Gold Coast hospital bed, with his arm attached to an IV drip.

But he quickly assured his 213,000 fans not to worry and instead to focus on the mismatched pair of socks he was wearing.

View this post on Instagram

For years my mum’s been telling me to grow the fuck up and start wearing matching socks and to get private health insurance. There’s Ventolin in the picture and a spacer.”

Others agreed, saying it’s plausible that the host had an asthma attack during the middle of the night.

Fifi Box opens about first days with new baby Daisy – and how it's impacted Trixie

Although Fifi Box has recently given birth to a new baby girl called Daisy Belle Box, that didn’t stop her co-hosts on The Project from calling her on Wednesday's night show – just one day after the baby's arrival.

Tommy Little, Box's radio co-host and fellow panellist on the show, thought it would be a good idea to phone her up and see how everything was going, despite Box having given birth less than two days prior.

Co-host Gorgi Coghlan was reluctant to call Box, apologising before the radio star could even say a word.

"Sorry Fif, they kept nagging me saying they wanted to talk to you, I'm like ‘she's just had a baby, you don't want to be talking to us at the moment’," Coghlan explained.

"I'm surprised you answered the Box phone", Little quipped.

A knowing Box replied, "Well, I thought you might've had something to do with it!"

Luckily, the new mum was more than happy to talk about how things were going.

"I'm in my heavenly, blissful, holding my beautiful baby girl in my arms. I haven't slept for two days and I'm trying to remind myself how to breastfeed," Box said.

We surprise call Fifi Box to see how she's doing after just having a baby! #TheProjectTV pic.twitter.com/otFM0ofQpq
— The Project (@theprojecttv) 26 June 2019

Box also spoke about how her eldest daughter, 6-year-old Trixie, is loving being a big sister.

"Trixie's loving it, Waleed," she said. "She's very hands on. I kid you not, when Daisy was delivered, it took me two hours to get her back off Trixie," she continued. "She's decided that she's her baby, so I missed out on some quality bonding time."

Waleed Aly then asked if Trixie was good at “handling Daisy”.

"She is very good!" Box said, before sharing a surprising anecdote

"I won't lie, though, I was having a chat with my mum and dad, and then we looked over at the cot and Daisy wasn't in it, and Trixie just walked off with her. So I realised I am going to have to watch my six-year-old," she said with a laugh.

View this post on Instagram

Little sisters 💕Trixie Belle 💕Daisy Belle

A post shared by Fifi Box (@fifi_box) on Jun 26, 2019 at 11:47pm PDT

Box shared a sweet photo on Instagram, welcoming Daisy to the world.

“Welcome to the world our beautiful little sweetheart Daisy Belle Box!! “I’m done”: The X-rated remark that left Lisa Wilkinson speechless

Lisa Wilkinson was left stunned after an X-rated remark made by Tommy Little during last night’s episode of The Sunday Project.

Little joined the show live via satellite from London, where he and Carrie Bickmore attended the final show of the Spice Girls UK tour the night before.

But that wasn’t the only thing he got up to, as he decided to take part in a naked bike ride with countless other nude riders as they journeyed their way around the capital.

A video of the comedian riding was shown on screen, with his modesty blurred out. But despite the censor, he said it was a humiliating experience.

“How’s this for shattering? I was still quite cold, but I thought, bugger it, I will get nude. Then one woman, she was heckling from the side, yelled ‘He’s a grower, not a shower!’”

“I’m not quite sure what that means,” said Wilkinson.

“I think it means I’ve got a small c**k, Lis,” Little shot back, taking the journalist by surprise as he used a phrase that’s deemed racy for early evening television.

“I’m done,” she said as she covered her face with her hands. “How good’s live TV? I know Tommy Little well, WHY did I do that? Next time, stop me before I kill again!”

The awkward moment you missed: Jane Fonda and Tommy Little's flirty interview on The Project

On Sunday, Hollywood icon Jane Fonda appeared on The Project to promote her ‘In Conversation’ evening at the Sydney Opera House.

During the interview, viewers were left stunned after co-host Tommy Little, 33, couldn’t resist flirting with the 80-year-old actress while making cheeky references.

Co-presenter Sarah Harris first asked the actress about a photo she had shared to Instagram, which showed her making toast in a sequinned ball gown.

“Can we ask what's happening in this Instagram post?” Harris asked Fonda.

“I live alone now, I've had three husbands and I'm finally on my own now,” the actress replied.

“I went to this fancy dress party with this incredible sequinned dress and when I got home, I couldn't unzip it.”

Fonda admitted that she was forced to sleep in the designer gown because she had no one around to help her get it off.

Showing his admiration for the star, Tommy Little cheekily said: “I never thought we'd live in a world where Jane Fonda couldn't find someone to take her dress off.”

The 33-year-old host continued to put on a flirty display to Jane Fonda, who was also promoting her new film Book Club.

“I can't believe that I'm sitting here next to Jane Fonda,” Little said at the start of the segment.

“This is such a thrill for me. The Project faces backlash over “disgraceful” comment

The Project is facing backlash on social media after a segment saw one of the hosts mock the way a man spoke.

On Monday night, host Tommy Little introduced a sound bite of mining CEO Geogg Summers speaking in Tasmania.

“First I want you to have a look at him, right? Here’s a picture, he’s tough, I reckon he looks rich, he looks mean and he’s a miner, that’s the information we know about,” the co-host said as a photo of Mr Summers appeared on the screen.

“He’s a man’s man, talking about the mines,” guest panellist Rove McManus added in a deep voice.

“So see if this is how you were expecting him to sound,” Little said, before the clip of Mr Summers was played.

After the recording was played, Little joked that Mr Summers “sounds like the first mining minor”.

“Hey question — were they mining for helium?” McManus added.

But while their remarks were meant to be humorous, some viewers were not impressed by the segment.

Viewers took to Twitter and The Project’s Facebook page to accuse Little of “bullying”, saying that the show has “double standards”.

“Disgraceful on their behalf, they should apologise on air,” one viewer wrote.

Another said: “Did #TheProjectTV just spend 30 seconds mocking a guy for not having a masculine enough voice?”

“Why are you mocking the way that man speaks, there’s nothing he can do about it. Bunch of bullies.”

“Really poor form making fun of a person’s voice … wasn’t it only last week you were talking about bullying? Practice what you preach,” one person wrote on Facebook.

“The Project is supposed to stand for good news. The snippet of the miner where you made fun of his voice was not nice at all and you should say sorry. Very disappointing,” another commented.

What are your thoughts? Each of the pieces’ retails at a comparable price to the brand's existing children's collection.

It is available to buy through Tommy Hilfiger's online store in the US, however it will not be available in Australia or New Zealand, with a representative from PVH Brands Australia, saying the line has been "specifically developed for the US market".

This is the first designer collaboration for Runway of Dreams, a non-profit organisation started by New Jersey mother, Mindy Scheier.

Scheier started the organisation in 2013, when her then eight-year-old son Oliver, who has a rare case of muscular dystrophy and uses a wheelchair, wanted to wear jeans like his friends at school.

The mother of three, who has a background in fashion design, altered a pair of jeans to go over her son's leg braces, however the design meant she had to go to Oliver's school at lunchtime to help him take them off so he could use the bathroom.

For the three years since, Scheier has been working to raise awareness of this daily concern for people living with a disability, taking clothing from retailers like Target herself and modifying them.

Common adjustments needed to be made on clothing for children with disabilities include velcro and magnet closures on jackets and pants, as well as adjustable waist and leg measurements.

Scheier told Fashionista that, although there have always been companies making adaptive clothing, the collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger would help children to feel less isolated in their fashion choices.

"There are certainly options for adaptive clothing but it was very medicinal, very purposeful," she said.

"Not only are these modifications possible, they fit into the design process that's already in place."

First appeared on Stuff.co.nz.

Related links:

Iris Apfel reveals accessories tips

15 women who have aged elegantly

7 celebrities prove you just get better with age
